I have been Trying to conceive for 10 months why am I not pregnant?
Me and my fiancé have been Trying to conceive sense December of 2009 and have not gotten pregnant yet and it is now September 2010. Why am I not getting pregnant when I do ovulate? Why are some store bought medicene or Natural products that will aid me into getting pregnant? If you have any tips or advice that have been successful for you could you please share them with me? Including any online item's you have bought that were successful. I am thinking about trying Fertibella. Has any body had success with Fertibella?? Please help we ar so frustrated that every body around us tries once to get pregnant ends up getting pregnant but we are so freaking unlucky. He has a job that pay's from $600-$800 a month and I get an SSI check that pay's $674. We have a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom duplex that we rent and we have a spare bedroom that we want to turn into a nursery. Any help would be appreciated and we would love to try any thing they we could do at home that is'nt so expensive like e-book's. Please and thank you.

The best thing to do is contact your OB/GYN about your struggle. It can take a healthy couple up to 1 year to conceive before a doctor will suggest medical intervention. (Each cycle a couple only has a 20% chance of becoming pregnant) Sometimes its just a matter of timing, and since you're not sure how to detect ovulation, that could be part of the issue.

OPK's (ovulation prediction kits) can be purchased online or in a drug store. You can also look into the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler to help you learn about your cycles. Many women ovulation around 10 - 16 days after their period, but that's not necessarily true for everyone.

Once you determine if you're ovulating and your partner does not have any fertility issues such as low sperm count (a simple test from your doctor), you can move forward from there.

In the end, a simple preconception appointment with your doctor (and prenatal vitamins - start taking them NOW if you haven't already) will probably help you spend less time and money than if you try Fertibella and other "natural" remedies and suggestions from the Internet.

I see from another post you ARE seeing your doctor for a fertility workup in a few weeks. That's very wise of you - good luck!

I did a lot of things while Trying to conceive for 18m, but they were all doctor recommended.

I used sperm-friendly lubricant, took baby aspirin (I have an auto-immune disorder) and had to take progesterone (I have a deficiency).

You could try using sperm-friendly lubricant (most kill sperm) and use OPK's to identify your most fertile time.

In addition to you having some initial testing done, it would be a good idea to have your partner have a sperm analysis done as much of the time there is a male component.

As was mentioned taking care of yourself with what you eat and drink, taking your prenatal vitamin, and determining when you most likely ovulate is all you can do. One of the most simple is to look for changes in cervical mucous; often several days before ovulation it will become more fluid and clear. This allows the sperm to survive for a few days, some a bit longer. Some women notice some slight cramping on one side or the other about the time of ovulation. The OPKs can also be useful, but can take a couple of months to see a pattern. Follow the directions carefully and for good measure you may want to start testing a few days before the suggested time on the kit in case you happen to ovulate a bit sooner than the norm.

If possible, having sex every other day throughout the cycle can assure the timing is not an issue. Again, as LearningAsIGo mentioned, it can take some couples a year or more to become pregnant as timing is just one factor in the journey.

If any specific circumstance is determined, such as very little cervical mucous prior to ovulation, there are a number of natural ways that can help, but first it is best to find out whether there is any reason other than just needing a bit more time.
