What is wrong with my dog?
I have German shepard that I adopted a few days ago, There are a few things that I have noticed that concern me. He was found a few weeks back as a stray by someone else and I answered the ad. He is very thin, you can feel his ribs. But he has a good appetite (I have been feeding him twice a day) he is not throwing up or anything but his nose is dry and he seems weak. He also shakes uncontrolably when he falls asleep like he is running or fleeing something. Does anyone have any ideas.

It's very common for dogs to dream and howl in their sleep. I would suggest taking him into the vet for a once over. If he was a stray chances are he will have parasites, which can be deadly if left untreated. This can account for the weakness and dry nose.

He has been through a traumatic time, being homeless and then brought into one home and then sent to another. He will need more then a few days to adjust to his new life.

Thank you so much for taking in this stray!

Please consult your vet! They can help you and keep him healthy throughout his life.

I am trying to give advice, some thoroughly, but sometimes it's important to simply bring the dog or cat to the vet, just from my personal experiences and opinion from the question. And if this is a newborn puppy, or even just a puppy it's important that he go to a vet, so I am trying to recommend what is best for the animal.

I'm sorry lJ, I just noticed that was your advice for all the questions but this was addresses on the other thread. No reason re hash it all again. Like Cats said, it's sound advice for a medical issue.

    Sorry :o
