MY 95 Honda civic will not start
It turns over fine.I have checked the codes and there are no codes showing up.I have checked the spark plug wires and plugs I am getting spark through all wires and plugs.I am getting fuel to the cylinder just fine also.The check engine light comes on when the key switch is turned on and when the fuel pump stops the light goes out as it is supposed to.

Check/replace igniter and coil.

I just replaced the timing belt because it broke.I am going to check the compression on each cylinder to see if it possibly bent a vavle.

I check the compression in all 4 cylinders.
#1 =90psi #2 =80psi #3 =80psi #4=120psi

Minimum acceptable cylinder compression is usually 135 psi; standard compression is 184 psi. Maximum variation between cylinders is 28 psi.

Yes, compression figures are way low.

I have an '82 Honda Civic that won't start. With key turned to accessories and wipers turned on, when I move the positive battery clamp the wipers go on and dash lights as well. I turn the key to start and everything goes off. Turning the key back to accessories again, no lights... only if I go...

My 1995 civic will not start. I have never had a problem with this car before. The battery is fairly new; only about a year old. I have a 89 Honda Civic that has not been started in over a year. I put in a new battery and tried to start it. It started and ran very reough for about 10 seconds. Now it has no spark and I don't hear a click when the ignition swaith is turned on. I checked and there is no blink on the ECU light....

Okay, so now the ignitor and the coils have been replaced and the car still will not start. My neighbor, who is a Honda mechanic, says that my only other option is to replace the computer... IS THIS TRUE>>??
