Please DO NOT pierce your tongue yourself or ask a friend to do it for you. This is your TONGUE!! You do not want to cause it any harm, since you will be needing it for all sorts of important jobs (like eating) for the rest of your life.
Please listen to your parents.

No you don't. If you really loved and respected your mother you would not sneak around behind her back. You would not mutilate yourself. You would obey her instructions.
There is NO good reason for a 14 yr old to have a tongue piercing!

Listen honey, I've been in your place and you just want to bug them about it until they give in - THIS Doesn't WORK. I tried everything with my dad but he didn't budge, I had to earn his respect and prove to him I was responsible enough of taking this on, for example, what are your school going to say? If they tell you to take it out the you've just wasted thirty quid!! I didn't get my tongue pierced until I was in my final year of secondary school (year 11). I got a job to pay for the piercing, did stuff around the house, got good grades, tried hard at school and promised him if it got infected or something went wrong or the school complained I would take it out immediately with no arguments, and my dad appreciated that I waited and didn't automatically expect for him to pay for it for me or anything.. also I think you're a little young, at least wait until you're 15/16 and you've left school to go to college or sixth form or whatever because they're a lot more lenient about piercings and you want it done by a professional, you need to wait.. I beg you please don't get it done by a friend or do it yourself, it will not turn out good, you could hit a major vein in your tongue. What's the rush to get a tongue piercing anyway? You'll be saving your teeth for at least another year or so if you decide to wait. When you're 15/16 sit down and have a chat with your mum, tell her why you want it done and what you'll do to earn the money for it etc. and make sure you listen to her as well, accept her opinion, if she says no, she means no! Good luck.

Your only 13, almost 14, and your mother knows what's best for you, more then you do. Don't do it yourself, when and if you ask her and she says no. Listen to her! Don't go behind her back, Your losing her trust, therefore every time you ask her for something, its going to be no because she doesn't trust you.

So when I was about your age I really really wanted my belly pierced so.. I pierced it with a pin and was so very proud of myself that as soon as my mum walked in the door that afternoon I showed her... the look on her face was well utter disapointment and I felt so bad that I did something so stupid.. I'm now 19 and have my belly pierced and truthfully most of the time I don't even remember that it's there
Listen to your mum
Ps. I don't mean to sound harsh but tongue piercings on younger people look quite trashy

Tongue Piercing, white tongue, ulcer spot?
[ 3 Answers ]
Pierced it 5 days ago.
Situated in front of the pierced hole, there is what appears to be an 'ulcer' type looking spot.
Can anyone shed some light for me please?:(
