    convert skeleton equation to word equation?
    I need help converting CuCl2(aq)+NaOH(aq)=Cu(OH)2(s)+NaCl(aq) to a word equation that indicates the state of each substance. PLEASE!! I need your help fast!!

    You have all the information you need right in front of you. Here are some hints to help you use it. Try it, post back and we will help you get to the correct answer.

    You have each reagent and product and their physical state: For instance NaOH(aq) is Sodium hydroxide in an aqueous solution. Learn how/why this is the case and apply this to the others and you will be done. This information should be inb your text.

    You should know the symbols of an element.

    As pointed out,
    Na - Sodium
    Cu - Copper
    O - Oxygen
    H - Hydrogen
    Cl - Chlorine

    Now, when you have a compound, you change a little of those.

    If you have a compound like Fe(OH)3

    Here, OH are taken 'together' and is called hydroxide. (ends with -ide)
    'Hydro' for hydrogen and 'oxide' for oxygen.
    CO2 becomes carbon dioxide (di - 2 and oxide - oxygen)
