I have fever should I have dental surgery in a week
I am scheduled for dental surgery in a week. The extraction of an impacted wisdom tooth with a cyst plus the molar on top of it in the lower jaw, a sinus lift (both sides upper)with a bone graft taken from my hip, the extraction of my upper premolar and the extraction of the corresponding molar (lower jaw) this is to be done in hospital under general anestehtic . I just had my six upper teeth prepared for crowns (I have temporary crowns on now) and developed fever (up to 101.5) 2 days later .the prosthodontist put me on amoxill. Is this too much work at the same time and should I delay the surgery due to the fact I was sick.originally the surgery was scheduled for 3 weeks after the crown preparation.I also have tmj on one side (upper jaw)

I would hope that there is some kind of pre-op testing done, i.e. blood work, etc. If you have an infection it may not be the ideal time to have the surgery. I'd be asking the anesthesiologist or your medical doctor about this.
