How to replace starter on 2006 Nissan Altima
Is replacing the starter on my daughter's 2006 Nissan Altima a simple task? I am thinking of doing it myself. I don't want to get in to having to drop the transmission or anything like that.

Shouldn't be too difficult for you.

. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

. Remove both mounting bolts (likely 14 mm) and remove starter motor.

    . Install new starter motor.

NOTE: When installing the starter cable, ensure the crimped side of the ring terminal is facing out. It's a good idea to clean both terminals and connectors with #240 abrasive cloth, or steel wool, and coat with dielectric grease.
