    How do I garnish wages in Georgia
    I have a promissory note signed Feb. 2007 for over $40,000 and payee has stopped paying. What can I do to try to cover my money?

    You go to court and get a judgement... when you get a judgement from the court that you are owed the money, file for a writ of garnishment.
