    How to build a soaking tub
    We have a shower stall with 3 existing walls... Would like to build a 4 th wall to make a square aprox 30" high, cover with shower pan liner, durarock and then tile... Will this idea hold it's wieght in water?

    Hi Renee...

    It is certainly possible, but most likely you would be better to use thick floor mud and wire lath instead of cement board. Here, cement board would require screws to be installed through the board and through the liner...

    You also need to install a special tub drain for vinyl liners... can't install a shower drain here.
