    Is this somehow tied into a real estate transaction - I note it's in the real estate section.

    In my State (NY) you write a codicil which is an attachment correcting or changing the Will.

    Is that what you mean?

    It will depend on state, and the laws on wills.

    It may be a matter of merely a re-write of the will with a name change.
