    Harbor Breeze ceiling fans
Bought a ceiling fan for the kitchen that has a remote control for the light and fan speed. My kitchen has 2 light switches that operate the ceiling fan. There is white, blue, black, red, and ground wire coming from the ceiling. The receiver for the remote has blue for the light, black for the fan and white. The fan has blue for the light, black for the fan and white plus green for gounding. I have connected all the white to white, blue to blue and black to black. Capped of the red. The fan and the light work only if I use the remote. How do I connect it so the switches turn the light off and on. Should I skip the receiver and just connect the fan to and light to the 2 switches? There are no pull chains to operate either the light or fan speed.
