I fell in love with this guy, my best friend was in love with him and didn't realize it but I thought she was but she said go for it so I told her if she wanted him I would walk away but I couldn't and we made him choose he chose her and ignored me for about 7 months to get over his feelings for me but about a year after those 7 months I'm still not over him and its clear we will never be together but I can't help feeling maybe we will get together it's a deep hope inside me and I don't know what to do...

I'm sure it was tough for you when he chose her, and it's not that unusual to live in a fairy tale world imagining that he's going to pop back into your life at any time afterward. Problem is that it isn't reality.

You really need to talk less to him and more to guys that aren't dating another girl. Go out and find a boyfriend that's all yours!

Honestly I feel for you, stuff like that are very hard to overcome. I understand how you really wish for him and how that feeling is just there and it won't go away. So Do you feel comfortable when your with your best friend when she's with the guy you loved? Are you okay with that? If you are then you need to look at things on the bright side: Go enjoy life, go hiking,camping, hit up sum parties etc.. have fun basically :) You'll do fine there's a lot of fish in the sea don't give it all up for one guy, eventually you'll run into your future. I wish the best for you :)

That was noble of you but as it turns out you were right, she did have feelings for him. That sucks.

I understand your feelings, hey you liked the guy very much, but got rejected, so you are still under a false hope about him, and I bet you haven't had a chance to look around at other guys at all, or haven't wanted to. Love has you stuck, WHY??
