    You piggybacked on a 5 year old thread so In gave you one of your own. A licensed plumber will pull a permit and run the gas line into your home. This line MUST be tested and inspected before any appliances can be installed. Good luck, Tom

    A licensed plumber or a licensed gas fitter is required for this kind of work. A gas permit is almost always required when working with gas.

    As Tom noted above, all new or repair work must be tested by the installer and inspected by a local plumbing/gas inspector.
