Ok, this might get a little confusing so bear with me. I hate giving out my real age, but I'm fourteen and will be fifteen in Nov. So no point in banning me if the age limit is 15.

Now on to the problem. I'm not looking for a real relationship or a girlfriend or anything like that. But I've had a crush on this girl for... six years? She's about three months older than me.
Anyway up until a few months ago I was terribly shy. So All the time that this girl was sending signals that she liked me, but I (being home-schooled) Didn't have any girl experience. So I didn't really come across as the nicest to her... you know, I'd ignore her, not initiate many conversations(But when we did talk I was the one who started it), But I thought it was obvious that I liked her.
Anyway she kept sending me signals and I would try very hard to be friendly, but I was terribly shy so I never really had any real conversations with her. Now that I've been working on my shyness, I told my friend that I liked this girl. Got to say BEST decision of my life! You see for a while I had been trying to build up the nerve to tell her that I like her and at least want to be friends. But anyway my friend randomly decided to tell my crush that I like her. At first I was like the pressure is off, time to party! But then I noticed my crush has started to completely avoid me and ignore me when I say hi. I'm starting to think that maybe she's trying to get back at me for being "mean" all those years. She may not realize that I was just shy and had the nerve of a fainting goat. So now I'm going to try to catch her on an instant messaging site we both use and explain the situation to her.

But anyway I just had to vent this and was wondering if because of the way I acted when I was younger, if that's why she's ignoring me like this. Also do you think explaining this will work? Or should I let it go? If I let it go how do I get her to treat me as a friend, because that's all I want anyway?

You probably should let it go. And believe me, women are tough enough to figure out at any age, but at your age it is just about impossible. Try not to think about this so much, better to just have fun, enjoy your youth, If she wants to be friends with you, she will let you know. But don't be in such a hurry to grow up. Life;s much more fun at your age, believe me.

I wouldn't explain anything, that will just create drama.

Just be nice to her, say hi when you see her, chat with her if she's up to it, and let the chips fall where they may. If she's still interested she'll let you know.

Girls are fickle, I should know, I am one. Just be kind and show that you want to be friends, than wait and see what happens.

Maybe now that she knows you have a crush on her she is ignoring you because she does not have a crush on you.
Just speak to her when you see her and go on about your business. You're young there are other girls out there.

As far as banning because you're 14 soon to be 15 in November, the powers that be can and have every right to if they choose.
If the age for the sight is 15 then it's 15 not 14 and three quarters
