    Sinus infections infecting the brain
I have been back and forth to the Doctors for years, probably 20 different doctors in total as nobody could ever help me. I would be complaining of terrible debilitating headaches, sometimes I just get home from my day out and get on the floor and cry, I no longer have a sense of smell and the roof of my mouth is on fire constantly and a lump is present now from the other side of the roof of my mouth, my nose and face continually creaks, my head gives of small sounds of explosions whilst I sleep and wakes me up, the top of my head and right side of my face and jaw is in excruciating pain and numb with so much pain that I have no more feeling, I can have a hot hair dryer on one side of my head and feel the warmth but the right side of my head is totally dead with pain and I feel nothing. I have often had problems with recalling things and can't have a day without my eyes and head having a slight shake, sometimes the pupil in my right eye is so small in comparison to my normal eye I am scary to look at. Also I have had terrible pain in the neck, throat chest that I just accept that nobody will be able to help me. I have sometimes begun to speak and my jaw won't work and my brain won't work. Today I have numb arms again and anxiety is under control since some smooth antibiotics When I often described these symptoms to Doctors they would respond "oh really" or "that's strange" I had even brought my now ex partner into the doctors surgery because he didn't believe me when I told him what I have been telling the doctors and they do nothing, and he was as gutless as ever and went to the appointment like all other 19 doctors, he heard it for himself too as the doctor once again dismissed it as "oh that's strange" However I just had some luck with a Doctor in SA who finally listened to me after I broke down and said I can't handle the pain anymore and nobody is helping me and I can't bear it any longer as the pain is now out of control. Yes they found a serious infection but I am wondering if it may have already effected me as years ago I was often fitting and collapsing especially when pregnant. Is it possible that I have an infection in the brain already as my head is in brutal pain?

Where are you located, what country?
    What is "Doctor in SA"?

I am retired physiological psychologist and have extensive knowledge of the brain. However, brain pathology falls within the domain of neurology, a medical specialty. That means I can't diagnose your problem. The best that I can do is research the elements (cluster of symptoms) and see what develops. That might give you a little more insight and information that could be presented to your doctor. Also it's unlikely that research would uncover the source of any infection (if one exists) only the systems or regions that could possibly be effected. As example, as far as I can go is to advise that "a lesion in region X is known to produce response Y" or "X region controls system Y". This is a general outline of neurological function and would not necessarily apply to you. Only a qualified neurologist could assess applicability to your particular case.

In order to do that I will need additional info as I go along. If you are want to do this please let me know. Your complaints are very unusual, diverse and challenging. Would take some time and certainly can't guarantee results. It could be that I would only be re-hashing what has already been done... but you never know.

    Current Age, M/F
    Age when first symptoms appeared?
Have you experienced any injury to your head or neck, pre-dating the complaints?
Are you currently or have you in the past seen a neurologist?
Have you had a brain scan of any type?

ADDED NOTE: Regardless of other information that could be developed there is one inevitable recommendation that must emerge. Based entirely on the disparity in pupillary response, that you cite, this is a primary sign of neurological disorder. You would be well advised to obtain a complete neuro workup. This is not a matter for a gen-med practitioner, internist or any other than a board certified neurologist.
