Was the c-section incision vertical under your belly button, or was it a "smile"?

How well has the incision healed?

What is your body type -- thin, medium, heavy?

    How old are you?

I'll PM two experts named Doula and J_9 (pregnancy experts) to check out this thread.

I am so sorry about your loss. The amount of time suggested to wait will depend on the doctor or midwife taking care of you, as it will frequently vary. Often, 6 months will be a minimum suggested, with a year being a frequent recommendation when planning another pregnancy.

However, plenty of women will become pregnant sooner than that, either as planned with their doctor's OK, or as unplanned.

Main risks are that you increase the likelihood of having another c-section, a premature birth... although neither are absolute and the majority of women have no problems at all, and you may feel some discomfort at the site of your incision as the pregnancy progresses.

Rest as your body requires and be sure you are eating well and taking your prenatal vitamins for extra insurance. Your doctor or midwife will be aware of your history so they will manage your care accordingly.

    Congrats on your pregnancy... :)
