    Reasons to break a lease
I rent to my ex , I did so in desperation when he had no where to go , We have a rental agreement now and my life is hell . He did 7,000 in damage before the lease and now is there girlfriend in tow and not following rules . ( No leaving cigatrette butts around , cleaning up after himself ) etc and he has not repaired all the damage and still lives there for cheap money when the rest of the city pays about 400.00 more a month for the same housing. So what can I do to get him out ? I live in Massachusetts

    Hello M:

Evict him. We have your states landlord tenant laws at the top of the real estate page on a sticky note. Read 'em and do what they say.

Sue him for damages so their will be a judgement to be sure they pay. Next if they are breaking the lease, evict them

I cannot find the answers on that page . I am so tired of fighting them , I just want my house finished and them to leave but what grounds do I have for them to leave ? They are repairing it , slowly but doing it . I still want them out
