I consider the primary reason to be able to determine if the quantity installed meets or exceeds the requirements of the game or other software that is to be run on the computer. If the amount of RAM is insufficient, the overall performance of the computer will suffer.

Since you keep asking why you'd want to know this, that and the other... another good reason to know the overall specs of your computer is in case you ever have any trouble with it and need some help. If you know your specs, it makes it easier for people to help you, even if it doesn't mean a whole lot to you.

    Hi, ckg0806!

I'm not trying to be rude, but are you wanting to know out of curiosity or because it's something that you need to know because you might need to know the information as a requirement for a class that you might be taking, please?

    Thanks!

I think we finally decided this is for class. And certainly nothing rude about asking.

ckg0806, this site is not just for having people answer your homework for you. And if you just try copying these, it may be obvious to the instructor that it's not your writing. Why don't you try pulling out your text and looking this up and trying to answer them yourself first?
