    Hi, walgreen1961!

If the drain is the correct one to be used for waste from sinks, bathtubs and toilets, I don't see why not, unless there's something about that in the plumbing code for the city or town where it's to be done.

Are you asking the question because of a concern with a code or for some other reason, please?

    Thanks!

I plumbed our entire home, all according to code, but now I have a concern. My wife would like her washer and dryer moved to the second floor. Being a good husband I said "no problem". All that is up there, plumbing wise, is her bathroom (vanity sink, toilet, shower) that I dare not enter. The...

Cutting through joists to run toilet drain line [ 1 Answers ]

I'm remodeling my attic and planning to put the toilet about 9 feet from the main stack. It's a straight shot, but the joists (2x8s) run perpendicular to the path of the drain pipe, and what little I know of the code says that you shouldn't bore 2x8s for 3 inch pipe. One of the solutions I had...

Secondary Drain Line Re-Routed to Primary Line [ 2 Answers ]

Hi, I just purchased a newly constructed condo, and it is a construction mess. In particular, there have been numerous leaks from the HVAC secondary drain line (which drains into an interior space), apparently because the HVAC drain lines have no slope. The builder “repaired” the HVAC...
