Hair permanently dyed black, 6 months later I'm bored.. how to get it out!!
Right so I dyed my hair black six months ago and I'm getting bored of it again, I have had it black before and I let it grow out naturally and cut my hair into a bob so it was even all over, I then dyed it red before dying it black again. My roots are coming through about 3 inches away from my head and they look awful, they've gone a sort of golden blonde with a tint of ginger.. I was wondering how I could strip the black, id like to get it to a medium brown/light auburn colour. I have not put any colour on my hair in six months and at the moment its in a good condition but my hair is naturally quite fine as I'm naturally dark blonde. Could I go to a salon and get it stripped? If so, what colour would it go and would it be at my desired colour within 2 weeks (as I'm going on holiday in 3 weeks) of stripping or would I have to go back and keep getting it stripped? Thank you for your help.

My hair was black, and like you I wanted a change. I highlighted it a lot (At home), I highlighted it once every week and in a few weeks my hair was basically blonde, then I died it a light brown/blonde color all over, and then my hair faded into a nice blonde! I went back to black just the other week, and I must say I missed it! |
