    Fiberglass door paint?
New fiberglass door faces west; strong sun exposure. What paint should use to prevent peeling? Any other painting hints?

    Hi, cranniegrannie!

Is the door already primed? Also, is the surface of it perfectly smooth, please?

    Thanks!

Any good exterior paint should do. Problem will be fading not peeling.

If door faces west with high heat load, any paint, except light colors, will absorb the infrared and soften the paint, particularly latex. Best bet would be an alkyd primer and paint.
