    Lost In Love
I have been dating this guy for a little while. We hit things off pretty well. Right now we are doing the long distance thing because of job statuses. Im always afraid of long distance relationships because they usually end bad for me. Me and him have been very very close. There is a strong love connection there. Or so I thought. He's always telling me that I am beautiful and how much he loves me. Well I knew he was going through a divorce which was finalized this month. Recently he went home because his daughter was involved in a serious accident. Communication was touch and go. I assumed that he had been very busy which is why I didn't hear from him. I found his sister on FB a couple weeks ago and requested her as a friend and said hey you are such and such's sister right? I finally got a response back 2 days ago. She said yes and this is? I told her I was his girlfriend and put a smiley face. She responded with, ummmm a smiley? Honestly I don't know what to say about that. I responded and told her I was sorry I thought she knew who I was (he told me he had mentioned me to her) So she said no I have never heard of you. I asked her if there was someone else and she told me that she stays out of business that is not hers and that this was between him and I. Not even 5 minutes later I got an instant message from him saying that after careful planning and consideration, him and his daughter decided it was not going to work out with us. And to please not contact his family anymore. So I don't know what to think. I sent him a few emails asking him to explain. But he is still out of town and not reachable by phone. Will he be back? Should I even care?

Until you hear from him, let it go, and go about your business as though he doesn't exist any more, because surely if it was important to straighten things out, he would have done so.

I think that for whatever your motives were for befriending his sister, AND trying to get information from her was a bit much. I know, you spin it as an innocent gesture, but it sure LOOKS funny to me, and I am sure he would agree. Chances are there were things he was hiding anyway, and this may be a good thing that has happened.

Guess this LDR ended badly too.

I swear my intentions were only to be her friend. But when she said things the way she said them it peaked my curiosity and that's why I asked her. As would any normal human being I think. Prior to this all happening I hadn't heard from him in a week and a half. Which is odd and yes I think he is hiding something and the fact that I got too close to the truth shook him and he ended it before he got "caught"

    That's enough to walk away.

You already know the answer - just leave it alone and move on with your life.

There's more than likely a lot more to the story than you'll never find out about.

He's probably still attached to his ex and dearly loves his daughter.

Sometimes it takes a tragedy to
Open a persons eyes to what they have thrown away. Leave the guy alone.

He is probably back with his family, and realizing how close he came to losing them.
