Should I apply for my children at the same time as myself- tier 1 UK visa?
I want to apply for UK Tier 1 visa, should I apply for my dependents (children aged 5 years and 1 year respectively). I am considering the cost of application, so I think it might be safer for me to apply first, get the result and then apply for my children.

    Any thoughts, please.

You can apply at the same time. The key is you need to prove you have sufficient funds to cover all expenses.
