In the state of Louisiana what type of documention would someone sign that states they must leave something behind for their nautural born children to inherit ?

There is no State that requires that a parent MUST leave an "estate" for the children. Parents can disinherit children, spend it all, leave their estate to the cat if they want to.

Soemone has told me that they signed some kind of decument that says they have to leave something for they're children to inherit or the mother can take it to the courts and get everything . Could it be a prenup agreement maybe ? No of it makes sense to me . Sounds like bogus . I have never heard of it either. I had only known about a succession or a will . Never this

You can leave your children nothing if they are competent, and not disabled, and twenty-four (24) years of age or older in the state of Louisiana.

But have in mind if the children are under 24 or there is a disabled child Louisiana law requires that your estate passes as follows:

If no children – spouse gets all the community property, your nearest blood relatives get your separate property.

If there are children – your spouse gets one-half of community property and the use of the other half until remarriage and children share in the remaining one-half of the community and all your separate property.
