    Remote fan controller
I have just installed a remote control fan less than 2 weeks. Sometimes the light will blink and there was time the fan will stop by it own and you have to press the button to re-activate. The technician came and found no fault with the installation. Please advise what is the possible fault with the fan? Thanks.

Well the easiest place to start is the batteries in the remote. Just because the fan is new to you does not mean that it has not been stored prior to your purchasing it.

Next, I would suggest that you mark the current positions of the switch settings in both the fan and the remote and then slide the switches back and forth several times to clean them.

Also, if you have any other remotes in the same room, you may want to change the switch settings.

I just installed a HB ceiling fan with light package and purchased a separate remote controller. The fan portion seems to work fine and responds to the remote, but the light is not.
