My boyfriend and I have a very active sex life, and I'm usually very regular, but I'm late this month, I can't remember the exact date of my last period but its roughly around 5 weeks ago, maybe 6... I'm feeling very tired, embarassingly sweating a lot more than usual, I'm very petite, always have been, my tummy feels very uncomfortable, as if my period is just about to start, but nothing! I also feel sick sometimes, sometimes as if I could vomit and sometimes as if I just need to lie down, dizziness never effected me until recently and feeling sickeningly warm after very little activity too. I've been with my boyfriend 8 years and he is over the moon at the idea of becoming a daddy and says if my period still has not arrived by the end of this month he will get me a HPT but is trying not to build his hopes up too much expecting it to come any day... But now that we've talked about it so much, I know I'd be disappointed if the HPT were negative... silly really but I know I would! I've also heard that people with twins have more extreme symptons sooner than most... There are twins in boths sides of the family! Any body have any ideas? Id really like a response!

You could be pregnant, and female who has sex may become pregnant. There is nothing you can do except wait for the test (You can go anytime after your missed period, so instead of waiting you can go now if you'd like)

Just to add regarding twins... the mother's side is the only one that may have an influcence on twinning. Some families may have a genetic factor where some of the females have higher odds of double ovulation. This would result in the possibility of two eggs becoming fertilized resulting in fraternal twins.

Some women pregnant with twins do feel symptoms sooner or with more severity simply due to higher hormone levels.
