Should I get new passport to have my new surname or its OK to use the old one? And do you think its better if my husband in australia do this things or me here in philippines? Coz I really don't want to wait for so long because I really want to be with my hussband as soon as possible. How many months would it take..

Name change in passport is not required for spouse visa... you can keep your maiden name. It does not delay the process.
