Toilet will not flush properly
When we started using the upstairs toilet, the up and down toilets will not flush correctly. They flush sometimes when we hold down the handle. I have made the recommended adjustments in the tank, cleaned the holes around the rim, and the siphon hole. When I pour a bucket of water in the bowl, it will drain. I have coverde up the siphon hole with my thumb(cleqn water) and the bowl will drain during the flush. The toilets just swirl as the water rises and will drain back the their levels. Does this indicate that the vent has a blockage?

When I flush the blow fills up right to the brim (quite quickly) with water and then slowly drains without flushing. Every 3rd flush it doesn't drain at all and I have to get to get the plunger to clear it. Plumber came last week and cleaned the drain etc, put in new value. Said it was working....
My toilet will not flush properly. I have plugged and snaked. I have pulled the toilet and snaked it from both ends as well as the main drain. I have no other problems on this drain, showers, sinks and another toilet! What am I missing? Jim
Long story, but here goes... I had plumbers in because my toilet was leaking water onto my basement ceiling. They replaced the seal on the toilet and immediately afterwards it wouldn't flush properly.. filled with water, about 3/4 of the way in the bowl and water gushed up out of my sink drain...
