What Happen when an convict is released in mandatory supervision to detainer afterwar
My son has served a two yr sentence for poss of a control substance, since then he was to be released for parole but apparently a jurisdiction put a warrant to detain him for a traffic violiation of expired vehicle registration and change of address in precint 4 Texas. How much longer can my son be held in the county jail for this offence. The ticket was issued in October of 2008. My son served 3mnths in county jail prior to him being transferred to state jail. Will judge release him on time served or what?

    Hello j:

He should have been given a bail. If not, they should try him right away. If not, he needs a lawyer.
