Installed a new deep well pump 10 gal per minute. I don't have the same water pressure that I had before. Power is good check out at 220 v. I just repalced the pressure with a 30/50. Looking for answers

When you say you don't have the same pressure, do you mean that you looked at a gauge before/after the install and the pressure is measuring lower, or does it just seem lower?

If it measuring lower on a gauge, then you can increase the pressure by turning the large, center nut on your pressure switch clockwise. Try a couple of full turns, cycle the pump and see what your cutin/cutout points are, and continue to adjust the switch until you get to 40/60.

It is also very likely that you loosened up a bunch of crud as you switched pumps. This can make your pressure seem lower when it has actually not changed at the tank. It can clog aerators in the house and can also compromise shuton/off valves, water filters, softeners, and so forth.

Thanks for the reply. The pressure is lower as seen from what comes out of the taps, hoses & shower etc. I have tried increasing the pressure at the pressure switch to no avail. The new pressure switch is a 30/50 So I topped up the tank to 25psi.
Now thinking of lowering the pump down about 3 feet?

I am convinced your pump is not the problem. Pump problems usually show up when the cut off pressure is set to, for instance, 50#, but the pump runs constantly because it can't get to 50#. That does not seem to be your case. If your pump can pump at least five gallons a minute and can get to 50# within a few minutes, then it would be hard to ask it to do much more than that.

When your pump shuts off, then your system is supposed to be at 50# and that should be fine. You really need a pressure gauge on your system. That would allow you to compare what you have now with you had before the pump was changed.

You can't really go on what comes out of shower heads, etc, since that can be affected by the valves and aerators being clogged with "crud". So, let's start with a few questions:

Do you have a filter or softener?
When you say you have tried increasing the pressure, what did you increase it to?
Do you have a gauge on your system?
When you run water from an outside faucet, does that pressure seem good?
When you set your tank pressure, did you set it to 28# while the system was off and the tank drained?

There is an air valve on top of pressure tank. Release some air and see if u get water out of it. If u do then badder is broke and tank needs to be replaced.

Do not release a lot of air as u will have to recharge the tank.
