INDIAN - loan defaulter in UK due to a medical condition
I am a Indian and was working in UK for 4 years till 2008. I am a loan and a credit card defaulter(around GBP 8000). I had to come back to India abruptly and could not complete the loan tenure because of a medical condition(stroke - had to be hospitalised and possess proof for it). Its now 2 years, I want to come back to UK as a tourist and pay back my loan dues and credit card bills. Will my entry to UK be rejected? Will it be considered as a crime? I tried to contact the HSBC bank, but the refused to take my call and said that I will be contacted by the collection agencies. Please let me know if I can come to UK and pay or will it be considered as a 'gone away' and considered as a crime.
