Skipping and cracking when playing CD
While playing a cd, I get a cracking sluggish sound. At times it skips and if I'm importing musc to ITunes, it gets worse and the whole computer runs slow. Once the music is imported to ITunes, it sounds fine. I was wondering if it was my sound card, memory or what.

Does the sound come from your speaker or cd drive?

Only when playing cds or dvds... I believe my drivers need updating... once I've imported the music from the cd, playback is fine... I found something else unusual... if I left click and hold the cursor on any of the songs while I'm importing, the music sounds fine... but once I release, back to the sluggishness.

Once you have imported the music into the computer it plays fine right? That's because the music is playing from the hard drive... so I think the problems with your cd drive, not completely sure...
