Why do I need an ejector pump for an unfinished basement?
I have a ejector pump and sump pump in my basement. The basement is unfinished (no plumbing like sinks, toilet, shower). Anything that drains to the main sewer line from the house is located on the first and second floor (well above the basement and the main sewer line. My question is - do I need an ejector pump?

About the only time you would need a ejector pump is if your house main's above the basement floor. However if the sewer exits from the house above the floor level the pumps there for a future installation. Good luck, tom

Tom said it... It is good to have it. It is expensive to install one later on. Keep it , if you can... it will become handy one day.
