    Artist identification
    Greetings - I picked this portrait up at an estate sale. It appears to be charcoal and quite old. I'll try to attach photos but I have not had much luck doing that here in the past. If I'm successful:

    Does anyone recognize the monogram and any ideas on how old it might be or what period her outfit may be from?

    It look likes a typical family portrait from the victorian era. That would be l830 to the late l800s. Other then that I can't help you. It is difficult to determine the age of a picture just from what is produced on the net. No, I don't recognize the monogram.
