Need a template or help writing up a motion for discovery for eight feloney charges. This is a case that will go to jury if not dismissed. Friends son is in trouble, don't believe he is quilty of more than breaking the heart of a police officers daughter, long story. Anyway any help would be appreaciated, he has a public defender who I believe is just trying to get him to agree to a guilty plea. He does not seem interested in the facts at all. Like the kid was given the debit card and PIN to use several time, several witness will tesify to this. Anyway would also like to know if there is a specific amount of time to get a grand jury to indict him and also details on fast and speedy trials. Thank you

How are you going to help? Even if you GET the right information, if his lawyer ISN'T interested, he's not going to listen to you. If you're looking for EVIDENCE that his lawyer isn't doing a good job, what's that going to do for the kid? It'll piss off his lawyer, that's what it'll do. And, that's NOT a good idea.

So, if he has a BAD lawyer, you need to get RID of the lawyer - not try to go around him. If he wants to FIRE his PD, that is a viable option. I'll tell you how to DO that. But, I'm not going to give you information that isn't going to help the kid.
