Im 16 years old.My menstrual cycle started around the 7th grade.For months at a time,I won't have a period.What does this mean?
Also,I recently went for about 2 or 3 months without my period,but I'm beginning to spot now light pink blood,that has an odor.What does this mean?

If you are sexually active, pregnancy is always a possibility. Otherwise it may just be normal for you at this stage to have irregular cycles. It is no uncommon for teens to have changes in timing and flow from time to time.

The light spotting could be a period getting ready to start. Odors will change throughout a cycle as well and you may notice it more as you get older. Most women will notice a change in odor at the time of their period. Could also be a slight infection... any itching, more discharge than normal?
If the odor causes you concern, and certainly if there is any unusual discharge or itching, you may want to see your doctor to make sure an infection is not present.

Avoid using any sprays or douches to try and get rid of the odor. Keep clean and dry... best to use cotton underwear, or cotton lined underwear.
