    Do you know if it has a belt that turns the drum, please? It would also help to know what model it is.

    Ge model # dpxr473ewoww has belt drive, runs fine for about a minute, then starts to squeak , getting worse as heat rise's, sounds more of a rubber squeak than a metal squeak!

    The teflon pads need replacing on the bottom front of your dyer drum.
