The first 3 months of my pregnancy I didn't know I was pregnant and was taking herbs. When I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking then right away. I'm worried about my baby! What are the chances of him/her having birth defects? I haven't been this scared in all my life.. please help! The list of herbs are; fenugreek extract, saw palmetto, fennel, l-tyrosine, mexican wild yam, pacific kelp, damiana, dong quai, motherwort extract, black cohosh extract, oat grass, blessed thistle, hops extract.

The biggest concern with some of these is that they can stimulate the uterus, causing contractions... obviously not a good thing in early pregnancy. With a well qualified care provider, some have been used in labor for this purpose however.

Since you have not had any issues, and have stopped using them, odds are all will be well.
How far along are you now? Were these taken separately or in combination? What sort of dosage? If it was a combination supplement, you may not know the exact amount of each component. How often were they taken?

Certainly your doctor or midwife will be better able to discuss it with you.
