Oh JLo, I'm so sorry. He's in good hands, just let the vet do his thing and don't panic until there's something to panic about. Okay?

I know it's easier said than done, but let us get your mind off it, you think good thoughts and know that the vet will do everything he can.

Crossing my fingers for little Pete and you. Hugs to you both.

The vet thought at first it was an inner ear problem, but after examining him ruled that out. He took blood tests, also. Pete's shown more signs of this morning's walk, plus the vet said he isn't responding to commands now. Another strange thing - when I woke him to take him to the vets he didn't get excited about the car ride and he wasn't able to jump in the car by himself.

He looked so healthy in your recent pictures, anything I say would not help Jlo.

I hope and pray he is OK and the vet can get to the bottom of the problem.

Its out of your hands for now,the waiting game is hard, keep busy.

Its hard not to panic, but don't let your mind circle the worst case scenario.

    Happy positive thoughts.

    Well,try a little.

I know you're worried, but you're worrying isn't going to change anything. Think positive thoughts. Pete's where he needs to be. I'm sure the vet will do everything in his power to make him well again.

You take care of you, so you can take care of Pete when he gets home.

Promise? I will kick butt if you don't. ;)

QP, there's only one thing that I didn't understand about the past math problem. I don't quite understand how a perfect square has an odd number of factors... I know they have an even number of prime factors (225 = 3x3x5x5) but what are the factors that is referred to with the statement that perfect squares have an odd number of factors?

Def: Factor Mathematics One of two or more quantities that divides a given quantity without a remainder.

Watch this: 4: Factors are 2 2 and 1; Odd
    225 = 3x3x5x5x1; Odd

    Forgot "1"

    As Kiss says.

Factorisation includes 1. Prime factorisation excludes 1. Since 1 is not classed as a prime.* Thus perfect squares have odd factors but even prime factors.

You might sometimes be asked for distinct factors or distinct prime factors. (as in if a number features several times you only count the same number once).

    e.g. 4=2x2 (x1) : 3 factors (2,2,1), 2 prime factors(2,2), 2 distinct factors(2,1) but only 1 distinct prime factor(2). Just mentioned that in case it ever comes up.

*The definition of a prime number is a natural number that has exactly two distinct natural number divisors. Thus 1 has only one distinct natural number divisor, 1, so is excluded.

Heck that last sentence reads like Chinese, even to a mathematician, hope you follow Unky I couldn't work out how else to put it lol.

    I understand now thanks! :) (Don't worry, I understand Chinese ;))

But then, something else bug me... numbers such as 6 too have odd number of factors then, 1, 2 and 3. So, there are other numbers, besides perfect squares with an odd number of factors, right?

    I could list many more :p (10, 14, 15, 21, 22, 26, etc)
