I'm on felony probation. I do not check in with a probation officer. I want to go to mexico and have applied for my passport.I'm off probation the same time I want to go to mexico. Will it be approved?

Your passport will be approved whether you're off probation or not. It's only ID. It doesn't grant you any rights.

If you do not check in with your PO and you are on felony probation should you leave the country without the proper prior written approval to leave the country you will be violated and end up at a VOP hearing.

Why don't you check in with your PO? Also your PO would know if you are off probation or not. Some states send a copy of the Order of Termination of Probation to the person and other states don't do this.

Also, you should know how many months or years your probation lasts. Look at the paperwork you received at your sentencing. Use the date that you were sentenced to start counting how many years, etc. and then you will know the exact date you should be released by the Probation Department.

And also, if you were given any sort of punishment add ons such as classes, fines, etc. they all must be paid or completed prior to you being released from probation. If you didn't pay up in full or didn't attend classes, for instance, then your probation could be violated even if it's just one day prior to your scheduled termination.

I'am from mcminnville,Oregon Yamhill county and I have probation and I'm almost done in two weeks and I was woundering will I get a paper in the mail that I am done with probation?? And when will it come??
