I am fairly certain it would be 6 months after her last heat cycle (when she got pregnant).

But Shazamataz would know best, and should be on later today.

It is different with each breed and each dog but generally speaking it can be as early as 3 months.

Some dogs will only come into heat once a year, others every 6 months. Much like people their 'cycles' are different so it really depends on the individual dog.

Spaying can be done once the puppies are 8 weeks old and fully weaned.

It depends on the dog. Uaually once every six months but when my dogs puppies left her and were sold at 7 weeks old she went into heat a week later. I called the vet to ask if it was normal and she sayd sometimes when her puppies are gone it will cause her to go into heat quicker

First I have heard of that. Good to know. If it were me, it would have prompted me to get my dog spayed asap!

You gave your puppies away at 7 weeks?

It is against the law in most States to sell puppies before they are 8 weeks of age.

Obviously you're a backyard breeder, and do not even know the basics, which is that puppies need to remain with their mother until at least 8 weeks of age.

Probably best to stick to other forums, leave the pets forums to the more experienced members.

Aside from selling your pupies at 7 weeks, which is illegal (in most states and Provinces) all in it's self, I have never heard of a dog being prompted into heat because their puppies have left the pack. How many times has this happened to your b!tch? How many litters has she had?
