    Transfer in the workplace
    Can I be transferred and not given remuneration as the new job comes with other responsibilities

    Not necessarily so.

    How was this transfer handled? Was the job posted and you applied? If so, were you interviewed? If so, pay grade was never discussed?

    Or did your supervisor just bump you up the ladder, so to speak, and leave it at that?

    I would think you have a right to know but I am not where you are and do not know your company's policies.

    Have you spoken to your supervisor about this?

    This would depend on a number of factors. Large companies generally have pay grades assigned to positions. If an employee is transferred to a position that has a higher pay grade, they are normally given a raise. But its not mandatory except as required by written policy.

    Do you KNOW that this has greater responsibility or is it your estimation. Were you OFFERED the transfer or given the option or just reassigned?
