    Heating and air conditioning
    Hi,

I have a Comfortmaker air and heater unit on my roof. The PCB to the air conditioner has burned out. The pressure switch may also be damaged as it is black. The circuit breaker did not kick in to turn off the electricity so the damage is severe. The model number is PGC030k060e.

    Is this a common problem?
Why did the circuit breaker not turn off the electricity?

    Hi,

I am adding some additional information. I live in California and PGE ( Our utility company) has installed a smart AC device on my air conditioner which reduces power to the unit and turns it on and off for 15 minute intervals during high demand times.

Could this Smart Ac device be part of the ptoblem?

Check the information tag on the unit,it should tell you how many amps the unit should dram with the proper wiring. And the circuit breaker should be exact or very close to that,(Bigger not smaller)

If the breaker is to big,it could be that the breaker didn`t kick when problem happened
