Free advise jack russel toilet training
My jack russel female dog aged 15 months has the odd accident where she pees on the carpet, even though she is taken out for regular walks. She does not indicate to us that she needs to go out in any way she just pees. Help

Is she spayed? Is it something new or has she done this for awhile? Does she have accidents in her sleep?

Is she nervous, scared or very excited when the accidents happen? Is she trying to show that she is mad about something?

You might want to take her to the vet for a check up. Female dogs can be incontinent due to hereditary reasons (just like humans) or spaying. It could be sign that her bladder isn't quite working correctly due to an infection.

Only the vet can tell you for certain, but it doesn't sound like a potty training problem.

    She could be scenting.

My pittie girl who is spayed will pee on carpet guaranteed. Its just a little bit.

This dog is completely housetrained too.. She'd get a bladder infection before she peed in the house..

But she just can't help herself when it comes to carpet... and its not even a full pee.. Just a spot.

Thank you, she isn't spayed yet and was not excited in any way when she peed, so I will take your advise and take her to the vet

A couple of our other members have females with bladder control issues and they may be able to give you more help.

We would love it if you would come back and give us an update on how she is doing even if you don't need more advice.

Good luck at the vet's office.
