    Air conditioner freezes up
    I have a problem with my central air conditioner and was wondering if someone could help me identify it. The air conditioner started freezing up last summer. We had freon put in there but it continued to freeze up. What I found was that if I put the thermostat on 69 or below it would cause it to freeze up but if it was seventy or above it would run nonstop with no problem. Now it started freezing up again and I have found that if I put it on 74 or below this causes it to freeze up and 75 or above will make it run fine. Why is it doing this?

    Is the filter clean?
    When has the evaporater coil been clean/serviced?
