What wattage bulb should I use for a fireproofed paper lantern?
So I'm redoing my room and instead of spending lots of money on lamps and such I've decided to make my own. I saw these mini origami boxes lit by christmas lights and I'm thinking of doing the same but on a much larger scale. I've decided to use newspaper which is thin; making it easier for light to shine through, and has a certain aesthetic appeal. I've done a bit of research on fireproofing paper and I'm think of going with an alum and water mixture. I'm wondering what wattage bulb would be safe to use for these lights.

I would suggest a CFL bulb, much cooler than incandescent

I wouldn't do it. Not without extensive research and testing of the materials involved. Too dangerous. A fire can be a terrible thing.
