    Dipstick too hot to touch
    Should my briggs get so hot that the dipstick is too hot to touch?

    Hi,
    I would think that your flywheel kay is not "healthy." I say this because the ignition advance systems in use today to satisfy the EPA will try to compensate for a sheared or partially sheared key. The result is often heat.
