    2000 dodge ram starter removal
I am replacing starter on a 2000 dodge ram 1500 with the V-8 (5.9) I took the one nut off the bottom stud and a bolt off the top, but the starter won't budge. I gave it a couple of hits with a 2 lb. sledge. Still did not budge. Any suggestions? I assume these were the only nut and bolts holding the starter on.

Starters, that I've seen, are mounted with two bolts. I don't think I've seen a stud, except on the solenoid. You may want to see if there's another large bolt--it's likely 6 inches from the other bolt.
