    My dad passed away and my mom needs to change the deed to her. It was in his name.
    My dad passed away and had the deed in his name only. My mom is trying to get it into her name now and does not know how to do it, me either. Where must she start, there are no leans on the house and she does not work because she is handicap and retired in the state of Florida.

    If he was only in his name, then she will need to go though probate court and get the estate settled and a new deed

    As noted, if there was a will the executor has to process a quit-claim deed deeding the property to your mom. If there was no will the estate needs to probate and the divided according the laws governing intestate inheritance for Florida.
