Ok at my school there's this boy that I really like. He is white and I'm african american. I asked him if he was racist and he said no. He already knows I like him. He is really nice and sweet. I'm a skinny girl and he's kind of on the chubby side. But that doesn't really matter. Today I wrote a letter about how I felt about him and my true feelings cause I really like him. But what will he think of me? Its really deep. I mean he his really something special. But should I give him the letter though?

Well... first you have to find out if he's creeped out by you or wants to know you better. If he's not interested, the letter will push him away. But if he feels the same way, congrats!

If he isn't racist then there's no reason why he wouldn't like you because you are african american. I would find a time when you can talk to him and ask if he might like you as more than a friend. If he does, then giving him the letter won't catch him off guard. If he doesn't, then maybe you should try being just friends for now and seeing if he likes you in the future.

I understand why you want to use a letter. It's a lot easier to say what you want without getting your tongue tied, plus you don't have to be there to see the reaction if you are uncertain of it, but perhaps you shouldn't go from 0 to 60 with revealing how you feel.

Why not try talking to him? It may be a little scary and you may feel a little vurnerable, but a sudden letter with deep feelings may be a bit overwhelming.

You don't have to give away all of your emotions at one time. Ease into it. You might feel a little foolish if you let him know in person that you like him a lot, but how foolish will you feel if you give him a deep letter and he doesn't feel the same way.

Remember just not being a racist does not mean he believes in the white and black dating for him. Next even if he is OK in white and black dating, are you his "type" he may like fat girls, girls that are very black, or girls that are olive color. Or girls with long legs,

I am white and prefer very dark ladies, so I would have a lot less interest in a very white lady. So we don't know what type of girl he likes ( or in today's world) if he even likes girls that way.

So getting to know him, being his friend and talking with him gets the two of you to know each other
